Leading through self responsibility

  • The challenges…
    • Do you find leading others hard? Is it a endless cycle of reminding others of the plan?
    • There are many zen quotes out that state true leadership is almost hidden, however is reality almost the opposite of continuous micro management?
    • Have you tried many leadership techniques and still not achieving the outcomes you would like?
  • The concepts…
    • One key truth is that we are all unique and tfinding-time-to-volunteer-pick-up-trash-ssherefore will always differ in perception and the agendas we prioritise
    • We can’t simply make others do the things that we perceive as most valuable or logical
    • The most powerful motivator is self choice
  • Actions to consider…
    • Apply the power of self responsibility. In your next group session, take on an all in or all out approach when agreeing on shared actions
    • When some still don’t commit to their own words, call it out in the next group session and have them explain why and then confirm all in or all out
    • To keep momentum, be dynamic and pass over the accountability to another committed person every now and then
